4 out of 5 stars CO2 sucks, Plugs great   December 19, 2008

No patch/ plug is recommended for side punctures.

Yes, you can go out and buy a $5 twist type plug. But for my motorcycle, where I've only got one wheel to the ground sometimes, I'm not going to chance it, but I'm too cheap to buy a new tire. (Hey, the tire only had 1000 miles on it.)

I ran over a screw and it was stuck in the tire but as soon as I pulled it out it leaked quickly. I plugged her up on the side of the road. Quality tools man, nice job. That huge needle thingy is sharp so I see why they had a steel saftey thing for it.

I used up all the CO2 cartridges and needed at least 3 more and I barely had air to reach a station to fill up. The CO2 is not worth getting. I'd rather pack a mini compressor or a mini foot pump. Heck a hand held bicycle pump would be better. That CO2 is covered with rubber and looks solid but it's expensive. Plus riding it with too low a pressure ruins the tire.

It's been plugged for 4 months now, no problems.

2 out of 5 stars Great Product!!! User error caused problems. 5 STARS   October 5, 2008

Just talked to the manufacturer and he pointed what I was doing wrong. The plug needs to be pushed into the plug barrel until it's recessed and INVERTED. I just tried this again after following the instructions to the "T" and it's easy as pie. I will always carry this plugger with me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! 5 STARS (for some reason I can't change the star rating). www.stopngo.com has more info and a video demonstration for how to use it.
