Great Tire over the OEM! May 30, 2009 The Gunner (LA, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have been riding on Dunlops for 7 years (66k miles). Metzlers is a much sticker tire! Handles way better than OEM tires. Will see how they compare mileage wise! As of now, highly recommended. BTW, I replaced front and rear at the same time!
Metzeler me880 October 26, 2009 M. Zanetti (Tampa, Fl) rode 19k miles on my rear metzeler me880 170/80 15". hard to complain about that. BMW R1200
Absolutely the best May 11, 2010 NavyWings (Phoenix, AZ USA) I replaced the stock Dunlops with the ME880. I was so caught off guard by these that I almost dropped the bike in the first turn. The ease that the bike rolled into a turn was noticeably improved and required much less handlebar pressure than stock. Not only was the roll quick and smooth, the bike literally held the attitude throughout the turn with little to no pressure on the handlebars. You will LOVE the improved maneuvering performance you bike gains with these tires.
Good choice July 29, 2010 Crow57 I put the bias version of these tires on my VTX 1800-S last year. Definite traction improvement over the stock Dunlops, worth the extra cost. I try to avoid riding in the rain, the few times I have I take it super easy so really can't comment on wet road performance. The rear tire is ready for replacement now at 12K miles of moderate use... I don't do any burnouts but I don't baby it either. The front has a few thousand miles left but I'll go ahead and replace it at the same time just to reduce the hassle.
quick fast service. April 21, 2010 Robert J. Hollingsworth (Edmond Ok 73034) Haven't mounted the tire yet, but the service was quick and easy, thanks, Rob Hollingsworth.
